About Laura Hill

The whole bed, from the base up

Bases and mattresses, protectors and toppers, sheets, pillows and quilts, heated layers for winter — and the heavy faux-mink blanket we're best known for.

What we do

We make the layers, not just the top one

Most bedding brands pick a shelf. Laura Hill covers the whole bed: the adjustable base and the mattress on it, the protector and topper over that, the sheets, the pillows, the quilt, and the blanket on top of all of it.

That's deliberate. A bed is usually bought in pieces, over years, from whoever happened to have the size you needed — and it ends up a set of compromises that don't quite work together. We'd rather you could get the whole thing from one place, at one standard, in sizes that match.

Explore the range

A bed is the sum of its layers.

A good mattress under a thin sheet still sleeps badly, and the warmest quilt won't save a topper that has gone flat. We think about the layers together, because that's how they're slept in.

The blanket most people come for

What we're known for

The blanket most people come for

Most plush blankets have a good side and a back. Ours don't. A Laura Hill mink carries the same deep pile front and back, which is why it hangs heavy, drapes flat and feels the same whichever way it lands on the bed.

We make three weights — 500, 600 and 800 GSM — because “warm” means different things in a Queensland spring and a Melbourne July. GSM is grams per square metre: higher is denser, heavier and warmer. It's the one number that really changes how a blanket feels, so we put it in the name rather than burying it in a spec table.

What you can count on

What you can count on

Held here, not shipped in

We hold stock in Australia, at Braeside in Victoria. Orders are picked and dispatched from there rather than sent from overseas once you've paid, which is why they arrive in days rather than weeks.

Thirty days to change your mind

Colour reads differently in your room than on a screen, and a fill or a weight is hard to judge until it is on the bed. If it isn't right, send it back within 30 days.

Twelve-month warranty

Everything we sell is covered against manufacturing faults for a year from delivery. If something has gone wrong in the making of it, that's ours to fix.

Care that's realistic

Our blankets and sheets machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Down and feather fills have their own instructions and every listing carries them — bedding you're afraid to wash is bedding you stop using.
